100% sure this is a fake. The core should be from blackened, cast iron, but this is painted die struck iron or steel, with sand grains to pretend casting flaws....

Hi Mace,
That one is also a fake, but a different kind.
The EK2 is newly manufactured. The EK1 is made by removing the features from an authentic 1914 EK1 (a pretty nice one, too).

Thanks for bearing with me, looks like another minefield. I'm trying to find good 1813 ek2 to have piece from all ages when they were awarded. Looks like 1813 is going to be bit more tricky as all crosses offered so far have proven to be fakes.
What'd be the best source/book to study 1813 crosses? I want to learn altought it's great to have you guys saving me from trouble 
And to throw in few more, what do you say about these?

That one is also a fake.
Do a search here -- we've had some good discussions. Try searching for "1813" and also for "Holy Grail" within the Imperial section.
