I have one Genossen, It is rather well made, could it take Banana Magazines for the MPi 41?.
There are some Images of that Magazine being used by very early NVA.

The sections are to big for Banana's. I have to find some empty Flares in my Storage to compare, but I'm pretty sure it's for these Para Flares. I'm not sure if the EG's had 5cm Rifle Grenades or maybe Mortar's to fir their Ammo.

Carrierbag
I have this kind of carrierbag in my collection since 1994.
I was then told it was carrying Stickgranates .
My bag is dated 1960 MdI. and is manufactured in WW2 style.
I hope this helps you a bit with your quest.

Most of my ones are 1960 too, some 1958,1957 and some undated ones.

I have also found this variant, it's impossible here to read the markings. The leather at the bottom is more "grainy" than the other one that i bought before, the rest is the same.
