Default Wehrmacht Standarte Pole Top

Kind of a head scratcher..Detail is a little softer than some and better than other original examples I have seen. The mounting holes are counter sunk as originals and maker stampings appear to be correct (some have the "shadow" stamping)

Any and all observations are welcome!

Hello mc:
IMO, an authentic Heer Model-1935 pole top. It
has claw hole, correct base & bottom markings, etc.

Looks roughly cast
Known originals are a lot smoother cast IMO

Default Wehrmacht Standarte Pole Top

I think it is an original pole top, just not perfect. I have one, and this one shows all of the signs of being an original. Smitty

Hello STLMatt:
I think you are right. I just recalled
also that the BerlinS42 should also be
together, see t=746101 & t=1002754.

Default pole top

I agree with STLMATT as well iMO rough casting and the "over stamping " or multiple stamping of the makers stamps looks suspect to me also the the quality one wouls expect from an imtem such as this...

C'mon guys. This looks good to me. It has all the hallmarks of an authentic piece. I think we need to be a little more careful before we chalk it up as junk and throw it in the trash. I don't know of any replica that has the correct details as this. I've owned several of these and studied them very closely.

Third Reich aluminum has its own look, and feel.
And it’s smooth, and expertly done.
And this one doesn’t have the known characteristics of an original
IMO

Hello Berghof:
S42 is the Berlin location of the KRAAS Foundry, so
"Berlin S42" should be together on the rim. If not,
that indicates to me that the top is a reproduction.
Also the screw hole should aline with the O marking.
Likewise, top in question has screw hole burrs, so
it has IMO never been mounted on a trooping pole.
