Hello. I do not think it's a fake. It was bought from a trader of used items and used parts for machines. In the last few years, he did not sell militaries and copies of items on the Internet. The description of the subject contained only information about the state of preservation. In no way did he advertise the object as equipment for the SS. On the internet, you can find photos of this model of binoculars with SS business symbols. I believe that this is the original. I am asking for information about the price.

I don't think I've ever seen such a SS dienstglas. Well, there're 2 models which proved to be genuine SS binoculars used in the war:

1. Ruka Rathenow:

Hi,

i had planned to post earlier today this reply but i didn't had the time.

Below you will find three Hensoldt binoculars, 2 were sold on eBay, and the third is the one presented in this topic.

I think that the "non-SS" model is legit, but i have a problem with the fonts used for the two "SS" models, that have a different font from the "non-SS" model...

And you will see that the two "SS" models are different...

Without more period infos, i will be very cautious with those said SS binoculars.

The other ones posted by richthofen_117 are accepted as originals, but they are also heavily faked.

See You

Vince

Welcome back. Thank you for all opinions. I have a police binoculars in my collection. I noticed that all the subtitles on the aluminum police and SS binoculars are engraved - they are not an extrusion stamp. So we can have two options. The first - all police and SS tricks are counterfeits. The second one - engraving is the correct method of marking binoculars of this type. In my opinion, the second option is that the number of police binoculars and ss (produced) is much smaller. I'm pretty sure that the Waffen-SS was equipped with standard binoculars for the armed forces. Binoculars with ss markings come from an earlier period. Then SS and police units were relatively small. For this, signs for them were made by hand. All other markings are machine made and I attach a pair of Syrb Stys and Leitz binoculars. It is also possible that Hensoldt only made binoculars with engraved markings (they did not make stamps stamped). I collected the documentation of various Hensoldt / bmj binoculars - all have engraved inscriptions. I think that these binoculars are original, they differ in the accuracy of subtitles. Such a difference in engraved drives is normal. The evaluation of originality should be carried out comprehensively. The origin of the item is important. Circumstances of sale are important. Comparative photo documentation is important. I do not think that it is possible to create such a large number of counterfeits differing only in the typeface and made using the same technique. Also important is the geographical distribution (different countries of sale) of individual models of binoculars.
