Indeed sad news. I learned a lot from him about visors when I first joined here. Jacques

I didn't know David, only followed his threads. I'm sure his beautiful family will miss him dearly. They have my heartfelt sympathy.

Thanks for the post of the pictures as well. Only pic I ever got from him was a distant shot of him on his boat when he gave up collecting. I am sorry I didn't get to know him better outside of the collecting world.
We all have to make a better effort to get past the relics and get to know the people behind them.....

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Though Dave and I strongly differed on certain things in the RK/EK collecting field it is
sad news indeed to lose a fellow collector in the prime of life.

Rest in peace.

I heard from Cindy, today.....She's been checking in on the forum, and appreciates all of the kind words that we've all had for Dave...

This is the first I had heard of his passing. Terrible news and he will be sorely, sorely missed.

I just heard about this. What happened? I am beyond stunned. Dave was a great mentor for me when I collected visor caps. He would always be there to check out a cap for me, and half the times I called him, we spent the majority of the time talking about something else.

A great guy who always contributed whatever he could. Unfortunately we lost touch after I gave up III Reich militaria.

RIP Dave, Everlasting be his memory....

Stunned. Dave was such a gentleman, always willing to help. He gave of his time generously. But what I will remember most is how he always spoke of his kids with such pride and love.
You will be missed Dave...
