Default Luft NCO jacket

I have had this for about ten years or so, and never got around to sharing with the forum. I never intended to pursue uniform collecting, but I wanted a representative example of a Luftwaffe jacket to display in my "war room" so I bought this along with a cap. What can you tell me about it?

It appears to be a pre-war private purchase (ie. tailor-made tunic).
Is there a tailor's label present? It would either be at the neck or in an internal pocket (if one is present).
The insignia appears to have been 'up-graded' at some stage, ie. I do not think it was originally constructed for an Unteroffizier.
I think you need to adjust the 'shooting cord'. It is normally attached further down the shoulderboard (schulterklappen), closer to the shoulder seam, by a button concealed under the 'board.

Looks like an earlier private purchase piece. I have no concerns about the insignia. Would look nice with an operational clasp above the pocket.

Subdued tresse on a pre-war service tunic? Doesn't that suggest an 'upgrade' post manufacture, ie. unless I'm in error, subdued tresse did not 'come in' until post-1939 and, guaging by the eagle (so-called 'down tail'), this tunic was made pre-1938.

Pre 1937 eagles were used on private purchase tunics throughout the war

Sorry, should also have mentioned the collar piping; fabric and difference between the shoulderboard and balance of tunic.
