Picture showing the eastern part of the city, this picture is again taken from the "Haarnadelkurve" somewhere during the end of April or beginning May 1942.  Note the vast destruction and in the foreground the remains of burned buildings (mostly wood in this part of the city.  Note also the high river walls.
