One of my goals when I started this project was to contact other collectors, and I have made some very good friends via this site through the years.  This page is not meant to discourage you from contacting me, but rather to give you an idea of the kind of questions that I can, and can not, comfortably field.  The volume of e-mail received from the site is very encouraging and flattering, but somewhat taxing on my (limited) available time.  Although I strive to address all correspondence within 24 hours, this is not always; be assured, however, that I will always (sooner or later) get back to you.

In order to save both you and I time, I have compiled a small list of frequently asked questions.

Before you continue, if your goal in contacting me is to send me your comments on the site, or just a generally say hello, you need not read on - Skip to the end of the page to find out how to contact me.

If your inquire is of another nature, please read on...

I would like to buy militaria, what dealers would you recommend?

I often get messages asking me to recommend a milititaria dealer, the dealers I recommend are listed in the sponsors page.  I know each of these men to be true gentlemen.

I am doing research on a particular (named) individual, can you help me verify his awards?

This is a very common questions.  Unfortunately for both you and me, I do not have a list of recipients of German Decorations, such as the Iron Cross.  I do have a list of addresses which you may contact in Germany which may aid in your research, and if you would like this list e-mail me and I will send it to you.  Please note that this pertains only to World War II.

Can you help me determining authenticity of this medal?

If you are attempting to determine whether or not a medal is authentic (manufactured before 1945), the best course of action would be to post a message on the discussion forum.  There you will expose your medals to more opinions than by only conferring with me.  If there is a particular reason why you need to keep this matter private, then e-mail me.

Can you help me Identify a medal?

If you are attempting to identify a medal, again the best course of action would be to post a message on the discussion forum.  This will yield a response within hours if not minutes - much faster than I would be able to address your inquiry.

Allow me to reiterate that the above FAQs are not meant to discourage you from contacting me, but rather to expedite your requests.  I always welcome compliments, comments, and concerns on the website.
